4 Reasons Hulmeville, PA Dryer Vent Cleaning Services are Essential

Like a lot of people, you probably don’t think twice about your clothes dryer. The laundry needs to be done, you throw it in the washing machine, toss it into the dryer, and voila! – You have clean clothing and linens. If you actually do take the time to stop and think about it, however, without your dryer, doing the laundry would be way more time-consuming and cumbersome. Sure, you could always throw up a clothesline (and you might even want to once in a while, even if you do have a dryer), but it will take a whole lot longer to get the chore done. Not only do you have to lug the wet laundry out to the yard, but it can take hours, and if the humidity is high or it’s raining, it could take days to dry your clothing and linens. Plus, if you don’t have a yard, you’d have to find the space inside your Bucks Count house to hang up the laundry, and having wet clothing, towels, bedding, and other items draped all over the place can be a serious nuisance.

Needless to say, washing the laundry is a whole lot more convenient when you have a dryer; however, like any other appliance in your Bucks County house, a dryer needs to be properly maintained, and regular dryer duct cleaning is a vital part of that maintenance. A dryer duct should be cleaned at least once a year, though if you have a large family, have pets, or you do a lot of laundry, you may need to have the ductwork cleaned out more frequently. If it’s taking longer than usual for the laundry to dry, your energy bills are higher, or the exterior of your dryer is hot to the touch, those are signs that indicate you need to call in a Hulmeville, PA dryer vent cleaning professional.

Why is regular dryer duct cleaning so important? Here’s a look at just four of the reasons why routine dryer duct cleaning is an absolute must.

Increased Safety

A dryer vent exhausts the hot air and moisture that collects inside the appliance out of your Pennsylvania house, but lint, dirt, and debris that fall off of the laundry make their way up the ductwork, too. As that lint, dirt, and debris accumulate, it can get stuck along the interior of the ductwork and clog it up, and a clogged dryer vent is a serious hazard. Why? Because as the heat that travels out of the dryer makes contact with the debris that’s trapped in the vent system, it can catch on fire.

According to the Consumer Product Safety Commission, an estimated 15,000 clothes dryer fires occur each year, and those fires are largely caused by insufficient airflow as a result of improper ventilation. To reduce the risk of fire and avoid a dangerous situation, investing in regular dryer duct cleaning is a must. A reputable Hulmeville, PA dryer vent cleaning technician will remove all of the dirt, debris, and lint that has accumulated inside of the ductwork, ensuring the safety of your Bucks County home, your family, and yourself.

Time Savings

Before and After Dryer Vent Cleaning

One of the major benefits of using a clothes dryer is that it significantly cuts down the amount of time it takes to get your laundry done. When the ductwork becomes clogged with lint, dirt, and debris, however, it will take longer for the appliance to do its job.

Hot air and moisture make their way out of the dryer through the ductwork, allowing more hot, dry air to circulate around the clothing, towels, bedding, and whatever else you’re drying. If the ductwork is clogged, the heat and moisture won’t ventilate properly, which will reduce the circulation of hot, dry air, and increase the amount of time it will take your laundry to dry. You’ll end up having to run loads through the dryer multiple times to get them fully dried. By investing in regular dryer duct cleaning services, your dryer will continue to run efficiently, which will end up saving you a lot of time.

Increased Efficiency

If your dryer vent is clogged, it isn’t going to take you longer to get your laundry do; it’s going to cost you more, too! When the ductwork is clogged, the dryer will have to work harder to circulate and exhaust air, which will take more energy. You’ll also end up having to run your dryer more often to fully dry your laundry, and the more often you run your dryer, the more energy you’re going to use. These factors combined will drive up the cost of your utility bills.

The cost of energy seems to be increasing on a regular basis. Don’t add to your expenses by running a clothes dryer with clogged ducts! While yes, you do have to pay for dryer duct cleaning services; however, it’s an expense that will actually end up saving you money in the long run – especially if you hire a reputable Hulmeville, PA dryer vent cleaning company that charges fair and affordable prices. The cleaner the ductwork is, the more efficiently your dryer will run, and the more efficiently your dryer runs, the lower your utility bills will be.

Peace of Mind

Last but certainly not least, regular dryer duct cleaning services from a reputable professional will ensure your peace of mind. The cleaner the ductwork is, the safer your Bucks County home will be, the faster your laundry will dry, the more efficiently the appliance will run, and the less you’ll spend on utility expenses. All of these factors combined mean that when you invest in regular dryer duct cleaning services, you’re investing in your peace of mind, and with all of the stresses of day-to-day-life, who couldn’t use a bit more peace of mind?

Some information about Hulmeville, PA

Hulmeville is a borough in Bucks County, Pennsylvania, United States. The population was 1,003 at the 2010 census.

The Hulme family name, originally DeHoulme, is of Norman origin, dating from William the Conqueror. Members of the family originally settled in Lancashire, England, a branch later moved to Cheshire. The American family came from this branch. George Hulme, Sr. and George Hulme, Jr. immigrated to Bucks County from Tilston, Cheshire about 1700, purchasing land and settled in Middletown Township, some of the family later relocating to Buckingham. John Hulme, Sr., grandson of George, Sr., and his son, George Hulme, Jr. moved from Buckingham to Fallsington and ran a weaving business until 1796 when John, Jr. purchased land along the Neshaminy Creek and called it Milford. John, Jr. married Rebecca Milnor daughter of William Milnor.

Within a few years, the village built up to a number of dwellings, mills and other shops. The five sons of John, Jr. became a miller, two storekeepers, a tanner and a farmer. There was no public house, but John, Jr. many times opened his house to travelers. One autumn day in 1809, Josiah Quincy III stayed overnight on the way from Boston to Washington, D.C.. John, Jr. served a term in the Pennsylvania General Assembly and helped start a post office at Milford established on 1 October 1809, his son Isaac, the first postmaster. The village name then changed to Hulmeville. It is claimed that the General Assembly changed the name in honor of John, Jr.

The first bank in Bucks County was organized in 1814, John, Jr. the first president. The bank moved to Bristol in 1830 and its name was changed to Farmers’ National Bank.
