Why It’s Important to Hire a Riegelsville, PA Fireplace Service Near You for Routine Maintenance Appointments
A fireplace is a wonderful feature. It provides reliable, low-cost warmth, creates a welcoming ambiance and lends charming aesthetic appeal to your Bucks County home.
While there’s no denying that a fireplace is an asset, it’s also a responsibility that needs to be properly maintained, otherwise, it could become a serious liability. Fireplace safety is crucial, and hiring a Riegelsville, PA fireplace repair company to perform routine maintenance is a vital component of that safety.
Here’s a look at the top reasons why hiring a reliable fireplace service near you to perform routine maintenance is so important.
When a fireplace isn’t properly maintained, it can become a serious safety hazard. Routine use and constant exposure to harsh conditions and elements can cause a number of problems, such as cracks in the mortar, creosote buildup, and blockages in the flue.
If left unchecked, these problems can cause catastrophe, as there’s an increased risk that a fire could break out and spread through your Bucks County house, the structure could collapse, and you and your family could even be exposed to carbon monoxide poisoning. Routine maintenance appointments by a reputable Riegelsville, PA fireplace repair company will reduce the risk of potentially serious hazards, and will ensure the safety of you, your loved ones, and your Bucks County home.
Many Bucks County homeowners put off routine fireplace maintenance, as they think it’s an unnecessary expense. In reality, however, routine maintenance can actually save you money in the long run. A contractor from a reliable fireplace service near you will perform a thorough assessment of the structure, and if any issues are spotted, they’ll make the necessary repairs, preventing more serious damages and costlier repairs from occurring. They’ll also address creosote and soot buildup, as well as blockages that, if left unchecked, could also lead to major damages that would necessitate costly repairs.
Enhanced Aesthetic Appeal
A fireplace is a focal point that lends to the aesthetic appeal of your Bucks County home; if it’s dirty, worn-out, and damaged, however, the warmth and charm the feature provides will be compromised. With routine maintenance appointments performed by a quality Riegelsville, PA fireplace repair specialist, you can ensure that your fireplace will continue to be visually pleasing and a welcoming component of your home.

Riegelsville is a borough in Bucks County, Pennsylvania, United States. The population was 868 at the 2010 census. It is included in the Philadelphia-Wilmington-Camden Metropolitan Statistical Area, despite being so closely connected to the Lehigh Valley.
Benjamin Riegel founded Riegelsville. The original, and now historic, Riegelsville Inn that he built in 1838 still stands. This historic stone inn has offered food and lodging to Bucks County travelers for over 160 years. The community was named for the Riegel family, as early landowners; they established paper mills across the river in New Jersey. The pictured ‘Riegelsville Hotel’ is in Riegelsville, Pa.

With the completion of the Delaware Canal in 1832, the lands along the Delaware River attracted great industrial development. The movement of coal, a major important product of the area, brought capital & investment to Easton. Boats carried coal, stone, iron, crops and goods from the mills along the 60 miles from Easton to Bristol. Along Canal Street grew one of the largest industrial manufacturing centers of America during the 1830s and 1840s. Easton continued to prosper as a center for industry, manufacturing, commerce, and culture at the Forks of the Delaware and along the great rail lines. Between 1904 and 1926, Riegelsville was served by electric passenger and freight trolleys of the Doylestown & Easton Street Railway Company. Riegelsville prospered when the Delaware Canal opened in 1832 with warehouses and factories lining its banks. The canal closed in 1931 after 99 years of service and was replaced by the railroads. Today, Riegelsville is a peaceful and quiet town. Woods and fields border the Delaware Canal; remnants of crumbling stone foundations along its banks are reminders of a busy past.
Riegelsville was a mill town in the late 1880s and 1900s. The borough overlooks the Delaware River, spanned by the 1904 Riegelsville Bridge built by John A. Roebling’s Sons, Co. and connecting with Riegelsville, New Jersey. It is one of the approximately three dozen bridges spanning the Delaware River between Pennsylvania and New Jersey.
